Par-City is back! Willy Dope, Gif the Great and Young Wit the trio from the Bronx NYC deliver a creative mixtape that should be able to satisfy their fan base until we get the next full length project. "People Power" takes a clever and innovative way to interactive with fans via social media while still feeding the streets with new music. Before the emcees hit the studio weeks ago to begin recording, they took suggestions from fans and asked "What beats do you want to hear Par-City on?" After numerous suggestions what we got is a body of work showcasing each members strength while showing the group's overall diversity and even giving credit to each fan who pick made the final track list.
On the intro featuring Hot97's Peter Rosenberg . the trio deliver bars back to back over former WWE superstar John Laurinaitis Theme song while trying to prove who is the best member of the group. Other highlights include "Seen It all", "Move that Dope", and "Thug cry" where Gif spits a honest verse about working hard on his craft but seeing little to no results. The fun continues when Willy Dope and Gif the Great take a impressive chance and trade bars over Janet Jackson's 80's pop hit "Rhythm Nation" showing the group didn't pick all safe choices which any hip hop head could respect.
Willy Dope brings the Charisma, Gif the Great brings the wordplay while Young Wit delivers the punchlines, but together Par-City delivers a mix tape that is #CulturedApproved!
